NEGASC 2020 Postponed

It is with a profound sense of disappointment that the Board of Directors of The New England Graduate Accounting Studies Conference, Inc has unanimously decided to postpone this year’s NEGASC 2020. The conference has tentatively been rescheduled until June 23-25, 2021, and will be still be held at Salem State University.

The Board of Directors would like to extend their gratitude to Sondi Stanton and Charlie Hulbert of the Massachusetts NEGASC contingency for handling all the logistics issues that arose due to the sudden novel coronavirus outbreak in the US with professionalism and good sense.

With that said, we’ll see you next year at NEGASC 20-21!

NEGASC 2019 In Review

NEGASC 2019 was held June 19-21 at Rhode Island College, Providence, RI. Attendees earned up to 20 CPE credits. Many of the sessions this year had a direct or indirect link to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Acts of 2017 (TCJA), a comprehensive change which affected every American. As always with the conference, Accounting and Auditing topics and current issues remain at the forefront. Also, Ethics training was offered to keep compliant with Federal, State and AICPA requirements.

While subjects important to keeping current with changes in our profession were offered, social events planned around the meetings made the event all that more enjoyable. While the primary goal of the NEGASC conference is to teach, a strong secondary goal of bringing accounting professionals together in active discussion with each other provides value that can’t be purchased in on-line or self-study courses. In fact, the year-over-year retention rate of attendees is incredibly high.

The general consensus was that everyone had an enjoyable time. We look forward to seeing you at NEGASC 2020.
